WILLEM II HOME KIT  "TRICOLORES"

Willem II's traditional red white & blue striped shirt is another link to the royal background of its name, as it has the same 3 colors as the national flag of The Netherlands.  This design gave Willem II its nickname Tricolores (meaning three colors).

In May 2020, Willem II's home kit that they had worn from 1958 through to 1967, was voted "Most beautiful football shirt in the history of the Eredivisie".

As you may have noticed throughout this site, it is almost completely black and white.   But to show the picture of the current Tricolores shirt in black and white only, would be wrong on so many levels.
